Kanab UT Verenigde Staten

Kanab is een stad in en de provinciehoofdstad van Kane County, Utah, Verenigde Staten. Het ligt aan de Kanab Creek net ten noorden van de staatsgrens met Arizona. Dit gebied werd voor het eerst bewoond in 1864 en de stad werd gesticht in 1870 toen tien Mormoonse gezinnen naar het gebied verhuisden. De bevolking was 4.312 volgens de volkstelling van 2010. Lokale bewoners noemen Kanab "Little Hollywood" vanwege de geschiedenis als filmlocatie voor voornamelijk westernfilms en televisieseries. Kanab is gelegen in het "Grand Circle" gebied, centraal gelegen tussen Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Bryce Canyon National Park, de Grand Canyon (North Rim), Zion National Park en Lake Powell.
