Mandawa, among all the towns in the Shekhawati region, is the most tourist-friendly, offering numerous accommodations and some good restaurants. While it may be a bit touristy (a relative term compared to other areas of Rajasthan), this quaint 18th-century town remains a delightful base for exploring havelis. The town features a single main street, with narrow lanes branching off from it. The easily located Hotel Mandawa Haveli is situated midway along this street, serving as a convenient landmark. Most buses drop passengers off on the main street as well as at the bus stand.
