Venetian Villas aboard the Burchiello: March 27–29

TOUR PROGRAM

March 27–29, 2026

1 night in Venice and 1 night in Padua in a 3* hotel, double room with breakfast.

Tour leader from Italy:

• For departures from Rome Termini, the tour leader will travel with the group.
• For departures from other stations, participants will meet the tour leader in Venice.

DAY 1

Vaporetto or walk from Venice Station to the hotel (depending on the hotel’s distance).

Bacaro Tour, a typically Venetian experience that allows you to discover the city through its traditional local taverns, the bacari. Along the way you will taste 6 cicchetti (small bites representing authentic Venetian cuisine) paired with 3 spritz, the iconic Venetian aperitif. A genuine and convivial way to enjoy the local atmosphere, between authentic flavors and charming glimpses of the lagoon city.

Dinner at leisure.

Overnight stay in hotel in Venice.

DAY 2

Cruise on the Burchiello!

A romantic journey among the Venetian Villas of the Brenta Riviera, from Venice to Padua, along the route of the historic 18th-century Venetian Burchiello.

Vaporetto or walk from the hotel to the Burchiello embarkation point (depending on the hotel’s distance).

• 8:50 am: The tour leader will accompany you to the Venice embarkation point with the guide – Riva degli Schiavoni, San Zaccaria pier A, in front of the Church of La Pietà.
• 9:00 am: boarding and navigation towards the Brenta Riviera; commentary on the various Villas seen from the river.
• Arrival in Fusina and navigation along the Brenta Riviera.
• Crossing the Moranzani Lock with ascent of water level.
• 10:30 am: stop in Malcontenta for the guided visit of Villa Foscari, known as La Malcontenta.
• Continue sailing among Villas, riverside villages and swing bridges with commentary on the various Venetian Villas.
• Arrival in Oriago and lunch break at the restaurant Il Burchiello.
• After lunch, embarkation and navigation to Villa Widmann: stop for the guided visit of the interiors.
• Continue sailing among Villas, towns and swing bridges with commentary on the Villas.
• Crossing the Mira Lock and the Dolo Lock with ascent of water level.
• Arrival in Stra and visit of the frescoed rooms of Villa Pisani, an imposing Villa surrounded by a monumental Park, one of the most beautiful in Italy, with its long pool and majestic Stables.
• 5:30 pm: embarkation and navigation; crossing the Stra and Noventa Padovana Locks with ascent of water level.
• Sailing along the original river route of the ancient Venetian Burchielli, passing in front of the striking Villa Giovanelli in Noventa Padovana; sailing on to Padua, with arrival at the historic 16th-century Burchiello Staircase at Portello, the ancient river port in Padua’s historic center, around 7:00 pm, where the tour leader will be waiting.
