Arrival in Bucharest, meet the guide and check in at the hotel in Bucharest.

Day 2. Bucharest – Sibiu – Bazna

Depart for Sibiu, crossing Wallachia. Short stop at Cozia Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Romania (14th century). Continue through the Olt Valley, passing the Red Tower, the former border between Transylvania and Wallachia. City tour of Sibiu including the Great and Small Squares, the Bridge of Lies, and the Evangelical Church. Evening arrival in Bazna for accommodation and dinner.

Day 3. Bazna – Biertan – Sighisoara – Bazna

A day dedicated to Saxon culture in Transylvania. In the morning, visit Biertan to see its fortified church. Continue to Sighisoara for a walking tour, visiting Vlad Dracul’s house and the Church on the Hill. In the afternoon, return to Bazna for a horse-drawn carriage ride and visit to Boian Citadel.

Day 4. Bazna – Campulung

Travel to Bucovina, crossing the Tihuta Pass. Short stop in Targu Mures to visit the Orthodox Cathedral and the Palace of Culture. Continue to Bistrita to see the church with the tallest tower in Romania. Visit Moldovita Monastery.

Day 5. Campulung – Predeal

Visit Voronet Monastery, also known as the “Sistine Chapel of Orthodoxy.” Cross the Carpathians via the Bicaz Gorges to reach Predeal.

Day 6. Predeal – Brasov – Harman – Predeal

City tour of Brasov including the Black Church and the Orthodox Church. Continue to Harman, then return to Predeal.

Day 7. Predeal – Bran – Sinaia – Bucharest

Visit Bran Castle – the “Dracula Castle” – and continue to Sinaia to visit Peles Castle, former residence of Romania’s kings. Afternoon arrival in Bucharest. Festive dinner with folk show at Hanul lui Manuc restaurant.

In the morning, panoramic city tour including the Patriarchal Cathedral, the Village Museum, and a photo stop at the Palace of Parliament – the second-largest building in the world (after the Pentagon). Transfer to the airport and return flight.
